Itinary in details

You will take a domestic flight from Zambia’s capital city, Lusaka, to Mfuwe, and then a transfer to South Luangwa National Park. At Flat dogs Camp, you will be housed in the Crocodile Nest, a sizable tented residence with two en suite bedrooms, roomy living areas, and a private swimming pool. The family-friendly atmosphere at Flat dogs is something they take great pride in. They have a fantastic children’s menu, room service meals, and a nanny service when you need some alone time.

Start your family safari vacation in Zambia by taking morning and evening game drives through South Luangwa National Park to observe various wildlife animals. Giraffe, wildebeest, elephant, leopard, zebra, buffalo, lion, and hyena are popular big game species to keep an eye out for. Take advantage of Zambia’s unique walking safaris. Go exploring in the open bush with a local guide and park ranger who can provide you with more in-depth information about the area, point out little creatures you may otherwise miss, and demonstrate how they track animals. Note that there may be an age restriction for this activity. Be on the lookout for some of Zambia’s rare subspecies, including Cookson’s wildebeest, Crawshay’s zebra, and Thornicroft’s giraffe.

On this day, you’ll transfer to Lower Zambezi National Park, taking a domestic aircraft to Jeki and then a transfer to the park. You’ll be residing at the five-star Bush Camp, which has a two-bedroom family home as well as three canvas and rosewood safari tents. Take advantage of the opulent amenities, which include a private balcony space and a sizable plunge pool.

Lower Zambezi National Park, which spans more than 4,000 square kilometers, is situated at the southernmost point of Africa’s Great Rift Valley and is bounded by the powerful Zambezi River. Along with more uncommon and less well-known animals such the African wild cat, mongoose, porcupine, African wild dog, side-striped jackal, genet, civet, honey badger, and aardvark, elephant, impala, lion, hyena, hippo, bushbuck, kudu, leopard, buffalo, and zebra make the park a great wildlife diversity. Game drives and walking safaris are great ways to extend your family’s safari experience in Zambia, but there are also opportunities for canoeing, bird watching, river cruises, and fishing excursions. To try and hook a toothy tigerfish, try your hand at tackle or fly fishing.

It’s time to leave the national parks behind and travel to Livingstone, the entryway to Victoria Falls, after 7 days of thrilling safari activities. To go to Livingstone, you’ll take a domestic flight. After you arrive, you will be transferred to your lodging, which has a private deck and pool, where you will have dinner and spend the night. You’ll get to see the Zambezi River in all its magnificence.

Victoria Falls, sometimes referred to by locals as Mosi Oa Tunya (the Smoke that Thunders), is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World and can be experienced in a variety of ways, depending on your interests. Smaller children may enjoy a walk down the walkways to breathtaking views of the falls, spotting rainbows in the billowing clouds of spray. Kids with lots of energy will appreciate abseiling, ziplining, and white-water rafting. Take a helicopter trip over the falls for a bird’s eye view, bungee jump from the Victoria Falls Bridge, or swim out to the edge of Devil’s Pool, which is right next to the cascades, if you’re feeling very daring. With Ride Zambezi Horse Trails, riders of all skill levels, including kids, may enjoy a more sedate experience while horseback riding in the nearby bush lands.

Your family’s vacation in Zambia comes to an end; proceed to Livingstone Airport to catch your flights back home. Zambia is a feast for the senses for the entire family, offering opportunities to observe animals in some of Africa’s top national parks and take in the Natural Wonder of Victoria Falls. You will have a ton of pictures and wonderful moments to look back on in the future. This marks the end of your Safari.
