Itinary in details

When you arrive at Antananarivo’s Ivato International Airport, your private English-speaking guide will meet you and take you to Maison Gallieni, your hotel in the upper town of Antananarivo, known as ‘Tana’ to the locals. Spend the afternoon lounging by the pool and taking in the city views, or go exploring Antananarivo’s vibrant streets, historic buildings, and distinctively Indonesian style.

Following breakfast, you’ll meet your tour guide and start the four-hour journey to Andasibe-Mantadia National Park in the east. The Perinet Special Reserve and Mantadia National Park are two protected areas in this beautiful rainforest park that are well known for housing the greatest population of indri lemurs (the only species of living lemurs) on the planet.

With its rice fields, redbrick homes, and roadside shops selling seasonal fruits and vegetables, the journey to Andasibe is a terrific way to get a taste of rural life in Madagascar. You’ll reach Manjarano Lodge in time for lunch and stay there for the following three nights with full-board service. This evening, you can join your local guide for an exhilarating night walk to observe Madagascar’s nocturnal inhabitants come to life.

After an early breakfast, meet your guide and travel to the 180-hectare Analamazaotra Special Reserve (also known as Perinet Reserve). Find the renowned indri lemur, which is distinguished by its distinctive black and white patterns, an almost perceptible tail, and a surprised teddy bear face. Additionally, it is one of the few species of animals that cannot endure confinement. There are 11 further lemur species to look for. Numerous lizards, insects, and some of Madagascar’s orchid species can be found in the Perinet Reserve, along with a wide variety of endemic birds including the Nuthatch vanga, blue coua, velvet asity, and many others. After lunch, you will explore the other side of the forest, which is managed by the Mitsinjo Association, a community operated by locals.

This evening, take a guided forest moonlight stroll. Discover chameleons, geckos, and several nocturnal lemur species, such as the Goodman’s mouse lemur, the woolly lemur, the white-footed sportive lemur, and the furry-eared dwarf lemur.

Following breakfast, you’ll meet your tour guide and travel the 1.5 hours to Mantadia National Park for an action-packed day of hiking and a picnic lunch. The indri lemur, grey bamboo lemur, red-bellied lemur, white ruffed lemur, and diademed sifaka are just a few of the lemur species that call this gorgeous park home. The trails are a little more difficult, but they’re worth it because the forest is more magnificent and less congested than Perinet. The breasted coua, scaly ground roller, and ground rollers that resemble pittas are just a few of the uncommon mammal, reptile, and bird species that can be found there. After enjoying a picnic lunch at the Rianasoa Waterfall, hike back to the car and head back to the lodge. This evening, you can go on an exhilarating nighttime stroll in the neighborhood’s forest with a local guide.

After a leisurely breakfast, take a leisurely drive back to Antananarivo and check into the Relais des Plateaux Hotel & Spa, where you will spend the night with full breakfast.

Enjoy breakfast at the inn before being driven to the airport to catch your flight to Diego Suarez in the north. A guide will meet you at the airport and help you while you wait for the helicopter ride to Nosy Ankao. A thrilling helicopter flight over the untamed coastline’s shipwrecks, baobab trees, and mountains concludes with a soft landing on a secluded private island off the coast of Madagascar. Discover wonder all over again in a place where luxury means going where no man has gone before and being surrounded by an untouched vista. Exclusiveness and adventure, as well as travel and conservation, are combined in Miavana’s raw and elegant form. Simply by traveling there, you may support the area’s long-term viability. This small sanctuary is the ideal location to relax because it is only about 10 square kilometers in size.

Make yourself at home in this surreal location with its direct beach access, sea vistas, and seamless indoor-outdoor living. Throughout, you can count on thoughtful design that has been expertly constructed from locally quarried stone, wood, and hand-dyed fabrics. Forest strolls, snorkeling; boat cruises, island cultural tours, shore boarding, kite boarding, windsurfing, biking, and the use of an electric buggy are all included in your stay. Enjoy additional events and outings including additional heli-trips and scuba diving.

Check off Lemur Trekking on your bucket list as you enter untouched forests that are home to more than 100 different species of lemurs or scuba dive into azure waters to find bright reefs, sea turtles, and manta rays. Depending on the time of year, go on thrilling ocean expeditions to spot humpback whales and spinner dolphins that are migrating.

After your final breakfast at Miavana, you will be transported back to Diego Suarez airport by helicopter for around 30 minutes. Receive assistance and a warm welcome as you check in for your two-hour domestic flight from Diego Suarez to Tana. Upon landing, meet your guide for a journey to the Relais des Plateaux Hotel & Spa near the airport. This afternoon and evening are your final nights in Madagascar, so take advantage of the opportunity to go souvenir shopping or simply relax by the pool. You stay for one night with full board.

You will be driven from your accommodation to the international airport in plenty of time to check in for your return flight. Your magnificent luxury vacation in Madagascar has come to an end, but you’ll always have the memories and pictures.
