Itinary in details

Today you will travel to Barefoot Lodge. Here you will meet your guide and fellow travelers. We will have a chance to talk about the schedule and get to know one another. We’ll get together at Barefoot Restaurant at 5:30. If you arrive early, you can pay extra to take a kabaza (local bike or motorcycle taxi) to visit the adjacent villages.

Today, after breakfast, we will head for Liwonde National Park. We’ll be passing through Dedza Town. We’ll stop by the well-known Dedza ceramics, if time permits. Lunch will be served on route, and we will arrive in time to settle up and prepare for our Shire River boat tour. On the third day, after coffee and rusks, we’ll depart the camp so we can go on safari in the morning. We’ll spend the morning in the park looking for wildlife and the ideal shot. We will return to the camp for brunch (a meal that falls somewhere between breakfast and lunch), spending the hotter parts of the day near the lodge. We’ll get the chance to go on another game drive in the late afternoon in an effort to locate the elusive lion and take in the beauty of nature. Dinner will be served to the accompaniment of African night sounds.

We’ll depart on day four following our final game drive through this spectacular park. We’ll move south in the direction of Mount Mulanje, also known as “the island in the sky. The magnitude of this incredibly stunning mountain must be seen to be comprehended; Mulanje has Malawi’s highest summit. It dwarfs anything around it with the 3000 m height of its naked granite flanks. We’ll arrive early in the afternoon, and the rest of the day is yours to do as you like. You’ll have the choice to go on a variety of different guided treks in the area on day five. You may even choose to climb the tallest mountain. When you get to the lodging, you can make arrangements with your guide for the evening, you can alternatively choose to relax by the pool or spend the day playing golf at a local course.

The following two days take us back to the African wilderness. We’ll leavefor our fist safari in the late afternoon upon arrival. Majete Wildlife Reserve is a one-of-a-kind conservation and tourist attraction. Majete is now one of the most well-liked reserves in Malawi for wildlife and safaris because to the incredible success story of recovery and restoration as well as the ongoing conservation of endangered species. We will take part in two more safaris on day seven, “hunting” for our favorite animal throughout the cool morning hours, the beautiful afternoon, and the early evening.

We’ll leave the jungle behind and head up north to Lake Malawi. We’ll remain at the fishing community of Cape Maclear for the following two days. Here, we’ll get a chance to observe Malawian fishing culture firsthand. The lake is significant to the economy because of its abundant fish catch. Along the shore, there are numerous fishing towns, and the local economy and customs draw tourists.

Today, we’ll go further north along the shores of Lake Malawi. We’ll board a quick boat to the Island once we reach Senga Bay. We will spend two days unwinding, comfortably, and peacefully at Blue Zebra Island Lodge. This is the ideal way to wrap off your journey and take some time to think back on the numerous images and novel experiences you have had. The two days on the island provide a variety of water-based activities for the adventurous traveler. You will have a lot of optional activities including Kayaking, snorkelling and swimming in the lake to mention a few.

Today, after our boat transfer, we’ll return to Lilongwe, the capital. You will bid your guide farewell here. You will be dropped off at your preferred location within Lilongwe, according on your arrangements.
