Itinary in details

Upon your arrival, your safari guide will meet you at the airport, provide a brief explanation of your safari, and then transport you to the hotel where you’ll spend the night.

Today, your tour guide will pick you up from your hotel and drive you to Murchison Falls. Before arriving in Masindi, you will stop at the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track rhinos. After that, you will stop in Masindi Town for lunch before continuing your drive to the park, where you will be met by several baboons that typically remain near the road. Take a ferry across to the park’s southern shore, where you will spend the night.

After your early morning breakfast, you will go on a game drive to see the wildlife. You will return to the resort where you will have lunch before driving to the delta at the base of the falls to enjoy the boat ride. Here, you will see a variety of creatures, including lions, giraffes, elephants, and huge herds of buffalo, Jackson heart monsters, and many more.

Today, after eating breakfast, you’ll drive to the top of the falls to take in the waterfalls’ panoramic view. From there, you’ll continue traveling until you arrive in Kibale National Park toward the end of the day. Once there, you’ll check into your lodge and spend the rest of the day there.

Today, after breakfast, you will depart for chimpanzee trekking. Kibale Forest National Park is one of Africa’s greatest safari places for chimp tracking. Kibale National Park is home to a variety of forest animals, most notably 13 species of primates that live alongside chimpanzees. After your hike, you’ll head back to your accommodation for lunch before moving on to the Bigodi Wetland for a breathtaking nature tour. Later in the evening you will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will leave early in the morning for Kasese in western Uganda to take part in a legitimate trek up the Rwenzori mountain. When you arrive in Kasese, you will check into the hotel or lodge where you will spend the night as you unwind in preparation for the next day’s activities.

After breakfast, the driver will take you to Nyakalengija, where you will begin your ascent to Nyabitaba Hut, passing by the characteristic Bakonjo homesteads and the banana sambas that line the steep slopes. Continue along the Mubuku River Trail, traversing mudslides and climbing and descending pillars and cliffs. Cross the Mahoma River, then climb steeply through a forest of pod carpus trees and stop fern hills to reach Nyabitaba Hut, where you will spend the night.

Start the walk from Nyabitaba that pass through the forest to the Kurt Shafer Bridge, which is located just below where the Mubuku and Bujuku rivers merge. Traverse the bamboo grove and arduous stretch of slick, moss-covered rock. Mount Stanley and Mount Speke can be seen from the Nyamileju rock dwelling before entering the area of the enormous heather, groundsel, and lobelia. After a strenuous trek through the tiring swamp, reach John Matte Hut.

The trail crosses the Bujuku River as it proceeds from John Matte Hut. With views of Mount Stanley to the west and Mount Baker to the south, the higher Bigo Swamp provides access to Bujuku Lake. Bujuku Hut is ideally positioned in the valley behind Steinmann Pass, between Mount Baker and Mount Speke.

On this day, you hike a 4 kilometer trail amid groundsel vegetation and ascend 4,372 m, which takes 5-7 hours. Following the journey down through the steep slopes of Lake Bujuku to the West, you will descend down the sides of the Upper Bigo swamp. Reach the 4372m Scott-Elliot pass by ascending, and then carry on through a number of marshes and the amazing ground gully. The steep section above the gully will then be traversed by a metal ladder, bringing you to a fork in the trail where two trails diverge. The right trail leads to the Elena Hut, rising steeply above the big boulders to Mount Stanley, and the left trail descends to Kitandara Hut via the Scott-Eliot pass.

You’ll get up at 2:00 a.m. today to eat breakfast before setting off at 3 a.m. on your walk to the summit of Magherita Peak. To get to Mount Stanley, you must climb via the Stanley plateau. You will travel across the angular rocky terrain using ropes, and the guide will instruct you on how to use the crampons and ice axe on the glacier axe. After a few hours, you will arrive at the edge of the Margherita Glacier, which is the most difficult section of the Rwenzori trekking safari. The next step is to ascend to Mount Stanley’s highest point, Magherita Peak (5107m). Enjoy the breathtaking views of Lake Ireen, Mount Speke, and the surrounding area at this point before descending to Elena Hut for lunch and dinner.

The trail descends steeply up the headwall from Kitandara, extending out from the base of Mount Baker and continues along the mountain’s south flank to Fresh Field Pass. As one descends from the pass, one passes the Bujangolo rock shelter, which served as the base camp for the famous expedition led by the Duke of Abruzzi in 1906.

The descent may involve careful balancing over sheer muck or steep rock because there may not be anything to grip onto. Today you will have dinner and overnight at Nyabitaba Hut.

It takes roughly 3 hours to ascend from Nyabitaba to Nyakalengija. The 40-minute hike begins at Nyabitaba to visit Lake Mamoha and return to the hut before descending to the park headquarters. Make your way to Kasese Town, where you will spend the night.

After breakfast, drive to Kampala, stopping in Mbarara for lunch and en route to the equator for photography and experimentation. Continue on till you get in Kampala in the late afternoon. Drive to the hotel or the Entebbe airport to catch your flight as scheduled.
