2 days Akagera National Park &Rhino Tracking

Description

During this 2-day safari in Akagera National Park, you’ll get a close-up look at rhinos and take part in rhino tracking, which will teach you more about the rhino species in the wild as you get to see some of their fascinating characteristics. You can also take part in a boat cruise on Lake Ihema for two days, which will give you the chance to see a variety of features like water birds like king fisher’s catching their prey from their water sources and many other rewarding features for an amazing Rwanda safari.

Akagera National Park was established in 1934 and is one of Rwanda’s most well-liked safari parks. Only a two-hour drive east of Kigali, Rwanda, it covers an area of around 1085 km. The park is visually dominated by the maze of wetlands and lakes that follow the meandering path of the Akagera River, the Nile’s farthest-reaching source. This is a typical African savannah scene, with wide grassland and tangled acacia woodland intermingled. Above all, Akagera is a vast game park! Elephant and buffalo herds come out of the forest to drink at the lakes, and if you’re lucky, you might also see a leopard, a spotted hyena, or perhaps a wayward lion. Giraffe and zebra prowl the savannah, while more than a dozen different antelope species, including the statuesque Cape eland, the world’s largest antelope, the ungainly and the attractive chestnut-coated impala, can be seen in the park.
