Itinary in details

Today, after eating breakfast, you will be picked up by our safari guide and driven to Nyabigoma, Kinigi, Musanze district, Northern Province, which is roughly two hours and a half from Kigali town. You will enjoy the lovely beauty of the undulating rolling countryside of Rwanda, which gives it the nickname “country of a thousand hills.” You can ask your driver guide to point out some of the interesting sights along the way. You will soon be inside the Iby’ Iwacu cultural village, a lovely initiative that employs and empowers the locals while offering poaching alternatives. Later, you will be joined by a local guide who will warmly welcome you to the area and give you a glimpse into Rwanda’s cultural history. The tour guide will lead you through activities like seeing the huts, trying the local beer, participating in a marriage ceremony, listening to stories, and dancing along to great dancers and drummers who will perform a traditional dance for you. Within the day, a lunch of local cuisine will also be organized and served. Later in the afternoon, you’ll drive back to Kigali for your overnight.

After a leisurely breakfast, you will be driven to the Nyamirambo Women’s Center, where you will tour the cultural complex, participate in a hands-on workshop to weave sisal baskets, and take Aminatha’s traditional cooking class. You will also go to the gallery of arts and crafts, where you may buy authentic African costumes. You will be transported to your prearranged lodging in the late afternoon or to the airport for your journey.
