3 Days Gorilla Tour Rwanda

Description

This 3 Days Rwanda gorilla trekking safari will offer to an opportunity to explore the amazing Volcanoes national park. The Volcanoes National Park is located in Rwanda’s northwest and extends over 62 square miles, including rain forest and five of the eight volcanoes that make up the larger Virunga region. These are Muhabura, Karisimbi, Sabinyo, Bisoke, and Gahinga, among others. Mgahinga National Park in Uganda and Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo are both bordered by the park.

As the former home of Dian Fossey, a renowned primatologist, and as the habitat of mountain gorillas and golden monkeys, Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park has gained international recognition. In order to save mountain gorillas residing on Mount Mikeno, Karisimbi, and Bisoke, the volcanoes national park was first established as a park in 1925 as part of the larger Virunga Conservation area. After a period, its borders were delineated to include solely Rwanda. Since 1967, the park has been referred to as Dian Fossey’s home base all over the world. She putted a lot of effort into preserving the park’s mountain gorilla population and spreading awareness of their struggle and potential extinction. Fossey introduced ground-breaking discoveries in gorilla study, despite being assassinated in 1967. Many people think mountain gorillas would have gone extinct by now if it weren’t for her efforts. In addition to mountain gorillas and golden monkeys, the Volcanoes National Park is also home to the black-fronted duiker, forest buffalo, bushbucks, elephants, and the spotted hyena. About 178 documented species are what birders might expect to see.

Along with other partners and foreign organizations, the Rwanda Development Board is in charge of maintaining the park. More money is made through tourism in Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park than any other national park. Gorilla tourism is especially gratifying, while some travelers have stayed away due to the recent increase in the cost of gorilla permits. In Rwanda, a gorilla permit costs $1500. The majority of the money earned is used to preserve animals and keep the national park in good condition. In addition to gorilla trekking, visitors can ascend Mount Karisimbi, go to Dian Fossey’s tomb, search for golden monkeys, visit the Iby’iwacu Cultural Village, or explore the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera.

A 3-day gorilla tour of Rwanda also includes a trip to the Iby’iwacu Culture Village and a city tour of Kigali. You may learn about Rwandan culture while visiting the village, and you can enjoy local songs, folktales, and cultural dances. To understand more about the awful Rwandan genocide, gorilla tours in Rwanda begin and end in Kigali with a trip to the Gisozi genocide memorial.

The company guide will give you a briefing about the tour before it begins. After lunch, you will explore the rest of Kigali, including the local markets and the king’s palace. The two-hour trip to the Volcanoes national park will start after lunch. You’ll be reminded of the significance of Rwanda’s nickname, “Land of a Thousand Hills,” as you pass through the country’s stunning mountainous terrain.

Dinner and overnight accommodations are available at The Garden Place Hotel, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge, and The 5 Volcanoes Lodge, all of which are luxury accommodations (Basic).

You should now be prepared for gorilla tracking in Rwanda after getting a good night’s sleep yesterday. The head park guide conducts the briefing for gorilla trekking at 7:00 am in the Kinigi Park’s administrative center, Musanze. All trekkers must be at the park by this time and must attend the briefing. You have a variety of families to choose from on a gorilla safari in Rwanda; choose one based on your level of fitness. It’s time to leave for gorilla tracking in the forest after being assigned a gorilla family and paying a porter. Although gorilla trekking in Rwanda can be difficult, the opportunity to see mountain gorillas is worth the effort. You may spend hours just watching a family of mountain gorillas play and roll about in the dirt. Mountain gorillas are playful and intrigued about people who approach them frequently. Pay attention to your guide’s directions, maintain your composure, and avoid making unexpected moves.

Return to the beginning place where you met the company guide after your hour with the mountain gorillas. After lunch, you’ll be taken back to your hotel to recover. You will be taken to the Iby’iwacu traditional village in Musanze, which is close to the volcanoes national park, in the evening. Dinner and overnight accommodations are available at The Garden Place Hotel, Le Bambou Gorilla Lodge, and The 5 Volcanoes Lodge, all of which are luxury accommodations (Basic).

On this day, get up at your leisure, eat breakfast, and get ready for the travel back to Kigali. Your hotel in Kigali or the airport where you will catch your journey home will be where the vehicle drops you off. If you didn’t get to go on the city tour on day 1, you can take it before you leave today.
