Itinary in details

When you arrive, you will be greeted by our agent and driven the short distance to Soweto, South Africa’s largest informal slum. Here, we meet our tour guide who will lead us on a bike or stroll through the streets of this bustling tourist destination, which provides a variety of interesting sightseeing alternatives and the chance to stop by the well-known home where former President Nelson Mandela formerly resided. This guided tour will show you about the neighborhood, educate you about city life, and provide you with a locally produced potjie kos (pot meal) and side dishes at the conclusion of your journey.

We’ll return to our roots today! The Cradle of Humankind is a paleoanthropological site in the Gauteng region of South Africa, 50 kilometers northwest of Johannesburg. The site, which was designated a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999, is where the most ancient human remains have ever been found. Some of the oldest and most complete fossils and bones ever unearthed have been uncovered in the caves where Mrs. Ples and countless other ancestral fossils of early hominids were discovered. Embrace your inner adventurer and descend into the earth to explore and learn about the Sterkfontein Caves, the Cradle of Humanity, and the Maropeng Visitors and Display Center, where the fossil finds and discoveries made in and around the caves are extremely nicely displayed and presented. After touring these two amazing locations, we’ll eat lunch and then return to our overnight accommodations.

Lesedi Cultural Village is situated in the Cradle of Humankind, a World Heritage Site, in the middle of the African bushveld, amidst the rocky hills. Visit five traditional homesteads inhabited by the Zulu, Xhosa, Pedi, Basotho, and Ndebele tribes to learn about the interesting cultures and traditions of the people of Africa. These tribes still follow the customs and traditions of their ancestors. Lesedi Cultural Village is a recreation of these tribal settlements that demonstrates the indigenous way of life, including its cuisine, dances, and beliefs. After our tour of the village and a delicious lunch made by the African Mamas, you will be brought to your hotel or place of lodging for the night or, if you are departing this evening by plane, you will be taken to the airport.
