This 3 Days Uganda Gorilla & Rwanda Golden Monkey Safari will take you to two amazing national parks in both Rwanda and Uganda. You will visit Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and Volcanoes national park. Bwindi impenetrable forest national is situated in Uganda’s southwest and has a total area of roughly 331 square kilometers. With its dense bushes of herbs, vines, and other flora, the park’s lowland and montane rainforests give the impression that it is impenetrable. It is renowned for having a number of endangered species, including mountain gorillas the natural forest region of Bwindi is diversified, with a range of ecosystems from 1190 meters to 2560 meters above sea level. The park is located amid the Western Rift Valley’s up-warped Kigezi Highlands.

Volcanoes national park Situated along the eight ancient volcanoes that make up the Virunga Mountains, which are shared by the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Uganda, and Rwanda. The park is an ideal starting point for discovering some uniquely Rwandan adventures, only a two-hour drive from Kigali, the country’s capital. Even though viewing mountain gorillas is frequently at the top of tourists’ lists, the stunning scenery also offers exhilarating hiking and opportunities to see the interesting golden monkeys.

Itinary in details

You will be picked up from the airport or your hotel in Kigali and taken on a city tour that includes the genocide memorial and Kimironko market. After lunch, go via the Katuna border to the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, where you will arrive in the evening.

After a leisurely breakfast, you will depart for the park headquarters with your packed lunch and bottled water for a briefing with the park ranger guides. Following a briefing, you will begin your Uganda gorilla trekking expedition with the ranger guides in pursuit of the mountain gorillas. Depending on the gorillas’ movements, this can take 2 to 8 hours. After the hike, you’ll have your lunch and be transferred to Musanze across the Cyanika border, where you’ll arrive that night.

Breakfast will be provided early today, followed by a trip back to the park’s administrative center for a briefing and Golden Monkey trekking. Similar to gorilla trekking, this activity lasts only 3 to 5 hours before returning to the lodge to freshen up before traveling back to Kigali to the airport for your flight back home.
