3 Days Volcanoes national park & Mount Bisoke Hike

Description

On this three-day Rwanda safari, you will encounter the distinctive cultures and wildlife of Rwanda; and the primary highlights of your journey will include gorilla trekking in Volcanoes National Park and a hiking expedition to Bisoke Mountain. Mount Bisoke it is one of the mountains in the Virunga massif and is located on the border between the Democratic Republic of the Congo and Rwanda. It last erupted in 1957, and its summit is not snow-capped, but rather fogged. Bisoke was created as a result of the movement of the tectonic rift valley plate, Bisoke features two hiking trails, the most popular of which leads to the summit’s crater and provides a magnificent panoramic view of a crater lake. For those who are interested in mountain climbing, trekking the Mt. Bisoke volcano is not particularly difficult, but the high elevation takes extra strength, making it a potentially difficult hike. Depending on your pace and the number of breaks you take, the journey to the peak might take anything from 6 hours to a full day.
