4-Day South Africa Private Reserve Safari

You will fly out of Johannesburg’s OR Tambo International Airport and be transported by shuttle to Hazyview. When you arrive in Hazyview, a guide from Dav Safaris will transfer you to the 4-star Guesthouse, where you will stay. After enjoying a complimentary drink in the guesthouse’s lovely and bird-filled gardens, you will have roughly two hours to unpack and unwind before being picked up to meet Thembo at Elephant Whispers for our one-hour interaction session. We will have the chance to get to know the gorgeous African elephants, learn about their fascinating physiology and behavior, and see firsthand how the elephants have become accustomed to the team’s kindness and care. After the conversation, we’ll take you back to your guesthouse room so you have time to get ready for dinner.

The Kruger National Park safari will begin before dawn in an open safari vehicle, giving you the chance to see animals from a higher vantage point and get the best possible panoramic perspective. Your tour guide will utilize his extensive knowledge to assist you in your quest for and discovery of the park’s famous creatures as well as in understanding the surrounding ecosystem. Throughout your safari, you will make stops at a variety of viewing sites, waterholes, and rivers to enhance your chances of spotting as much of the animals and flora that the park has to offer as well as the breathtaking landscape of the different areas of the park. You will receive breakfast kits that you can consume at a rest camp. There will also be a lunch stop in case you want to buy a snack or just get some fresh air. After your safari, you’ll return to your guesthouse, giving you time to unwind and have a sundowner drink by the pool.

Once more, we get up early to leave for your final morning safari in the Kruger National Park before you depart for the exclusive game reserve. Your guesthouse will once more give you breakfast packs to enjoy at a picnic area or rest camp. You’ll be driven to your Safari Lodge in the Sabi Private Game Reserve after leaving the park at around 11:15 a.m. There, you can unpack and relax while you wait for the 16:30 sunset safari before being transferred back to the guest house to retrieve your luggage. You will have a different safari experience in the private game reserve than you would in Kruger Park since you will go off-roading in a 4×4 Land rover without a roof, which gives you a 360-degree perspective and is great for the best photo and video opportunities. You will have the chance to dine in authentic African bush style under the stars, around a boma fire, following the sunset/evening safari.

With a coffee and breakfast snack stop in the middle of the bushveld, enjoy your final early-morning wildlife drive. Skilled rangers will make sure that your safari experience is absolutely unforgettable. Before you head back to the resort for your journey to the airport, enjoy breakfast on the veranda while gazing out at the dry riverbed where many animals may be seen.
