4-Days Lower Zambezi

Description

Your experience of Zambian hospitality will be one to remember. The breath-taking landscape will make your trip a memorable one. A boat cruise, a canoe safari, and game drives in pursuit of four of the big five are just a few of the incredible activities included in this itinerary, which will provide a distinctive safari experience. The Park is especially favorable for elephants, with herds of up to 100 spotted at any given time. While fish eagles soar above, lion, leopard, and buffalo are also relatively abundant. Fishing is another draw to the region, where you may catch Tiger Fish, Bream, and a sort of catfish called a vundu that can weigh up to 50 kg. Canoeing is a popular way to explore the park because it offers quiet access to many of the backwaters and rivers. The spectrum of bird life is wide, including the fish eagle, crested guinea fowl, Narina Trogon, and lovebird, as you might expect from such a diverse ecosystem.

Itinary in details

Upon your arrival at Lusaka international airport you will be met by our representative who will transfer you to your lodging to unwind and have a night stay.

Lower Zambezi activities

Today you will begin with breakfast, followed by a morning activity, which could be a walking safari. Fishing, canoe safaris, boating, village walks, tours of banana plantations, or sunset cruises, then have lunch at the lodge. After some downtime, have afternoon tea, go boating, have a sunset cruise, and then head back to the resort for dinner and bed.

After breakfast today, you’ll head out with our knowledgeable guides to explore the Lower Zambezi National Park. We will spend the entire day in the National Park searching loops for the four big five (elephant, buffalo, lion, and leopard) as well as a variety of herbivores and birds. Following a picnic lunch, you will meander your way back to CLZ to board the boat for the two-hour ride back to the lodge, where you will arrive at around 6 o’clock. Unwind, and then you can have dinner and go to bed when it suits you.

After breakfast, you will depart for Lusaka International Airport to catch your flight back home.
