When you arrive at Lilongwe International Airport, you will be received and assisted with immigration requirements before boarding your charter aircraft for the flight to Mvuu Lodge in Liwonde National Park. The flight takes about 45 minutes. Flying along the Shire River as you get closer to Liwonde National Park, you might spot elephant and sable herds of elephants on the floodplains as you come in to land at Mvuu. It takes just 5 minutes to go from the airfield to the Lodge.

The Mvuu Wilderness Lodge is located on the banks of a tranquil lagoon that empties into the Shire River in the center of Liwonde National Park. The Lillian’s lovebird, Brown-breasted Barbet, Palmnut Vulture, Pel’s Fishing Owl, and Livingstone’s Flycatcher are among the specialties of birding.
