4 Days Rwanda Gorilla Tour and Golden Monkey Trekking

Description

The four-day gorilla and golden monkey trekking safari brings you to Rwanda’s Volcanoes National Park for an incredible encounter with the mountain gorilla and golden monkey, both of which are in grave risk of extinction. The package also includes a tour of Kigali, a stop at the Gorilla Guardians Village, and a visit to the twin lakes (Burera and Ruhondo).

You might spend all day taking in the breathtaking scenery of the region, which includes little islands, fishermen casting their nets, and villagers laundering clothes along the banks of rivers. The availability of species including Cormorants, Egrets, Fish Eagles, and Pelicans will impress birders. You will make a stop at some of the best artisan stores in the nation to purchase souvenirs after visiting the Nile’s source by boat.

The mountain gorillas are the main draws in the Volcanoes National Park. Only eight tourists are permitted to visit each of the ten habituated Gorilla groups per day. Because of its accessibility and improved conditions, Rwanda is regarded as the greatest place to undertake gorilla trekking. Golden Monkeys and a 4 day gorilla tour in Rwanda were scheduled in very magnificent way. In addition to seeing gorillas, visitors to the Dian Fossey Tom can see golden monkeys, hyenas, forest buffaloes, birds, and other less-dominant primates. Five volcanoes—Karisimbi, Bisoke, Gahinga, Sabinyo, and Muhabura—can be found in the Volcanoes National Park. Karisimbi and Bisoke volcanoes are the most frequented for hiking. Mount Bisoke can be climbed in one day, whereas Mount Karisimbi requires two. Check out our 7-day Rwanda safari package for a tour that is more in-depth about primates. We also provide a 3-day gorilla tour and Golden Monkey trekking package in Rwanda.

A professional guide will often pick you up from your hotel or the airport fairly early in the morning to begin one of our tours. The first day of this 4-day trip will be spent touring Kigali. A visit to the Kigali genocide memorial center, the main city market, the presidential palace museum, artisan stores, and a few more locations that might be of interest to you are all included in the city tour of Kigali. Before beginning the three-hour trip to the Volcanoes national park, our guide will take you for lunch at a good location after the city tour. The route includes extensive tea plantations and stunning alpine countryside. You’ll learn why Rwanda is known as “The Land of a Thousand Hills” in this section. After arriving in the park, you will be driven directly to your hotel where you can check in and unwind in your room or the hotel grounds. Make sure to have a good night’s rest so you can go gorilla trekking the following day.

Dinner and lodging at the mid-range Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge, the luxurious Virunga Resort, and the budget-friendly Kinigi Guesthouse (Basic).

Around 7:00 am, the briefing for the gorilla trekking begins. At the Kinigi headquarters, park officials are in charge of organizing this briefing. To receive a general overview of what to expect during the activity, all trekkers are required to be present at the park offices and should attend the briefing. There are ten habituated gorilla families in the Volcanoes National Park, as we already mentioned, and you will be given one based on your general level of fitness. After the briefing is over, park staff will lead you into the forest. In the Volcanoes National Park, gorilla tracking takes two to six hours. You have an hour to observe your gorilla family after you’ve found them. Even when the silverback tries to display its strength, follow your Guide’s advice and remain composed. To avoid waking the gorillas, never make abrupt or pointless movements.

You will return to the starting site after spending an hour watching the primates, where our guide will be waiting to drive you back to your hotel for lunch. Following lunch, have a shower and relax before the driver picks you up to go to the village of the gorilla guardians. The Iby’iwacu cultural village was the official name of the settlement. Former poachers used to sell souvenirs to tourists there, but it has now been rebuilt into the nation’s top cultural hub. You will be asked to participate while being entertained by cultural performers for a while.

Following breakfast, you will travel to the volcanoes national park offices for more briefing on tracking golden monkeys. To assist with any heavy luggage or at the starting point, you will have the option to hire a porter. They will be feeding on the ground and on top of tree branches after a two-hour hike. Rwanda, Uganda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo are the three nations where golden monkeys can be found. They are seriously in risk of extinction and are seriously threatened by human activity. The active and adorable golden monkeys. About 80 people inhabit each group where they dwell. In contrast to gorillas, golden monkey feel at ease with flash photography. You will return to the starting place after spending some time with them to find our driver there waiting for you. The lunch and refreshment program will come next, and then you’ll be taken on a drive to see the twin lakes of Ruhondo and Burera. Island hopping, kayaking, nature hikes, and bird watching are among the lake’s principal attractions.
