5 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari

Description

This 5-Day Kenya Wildlife Safari is the greatest short safari to discover Kenya wildlife; it will allow you to encounter all of the Big 5 plus other wildlife. With this 5-day Kenya wildlife safari, you’ll visit Amboseli, Lake Nakuru, and Masai Mara National Parks, where you can go game viewing, bird watching, and optional village visits. Amboseli National Park is one of the top national parks and is bordered by Tanzania in the country’s southern region. The park is also adjacent to Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest point in Africa and a well-known landmark. The park is one of the nearby protected areas of Nairobi, the country’s capital, and it is home to the majority of Kenya’s African elephants. From Amboseli, you will visit Lake Nakuru which is located around 164 kilometers, or two hours’ journey, outside of Nairobi. The vegetation of the dry rift valley, consisting of open shrubs and forests, dominates the gently undulating ground. The waters of Lake Nakuru make up 27% of the park’s total area.

Lastly, we will proceed to Masai Mara National Reserve which is situated in Norok County, South Western Kenya, near Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park, Mara Region/Masai Mara Region, along the Great Rift Valley. The Reserve was given its name in recognition of the area’s original occupants, the Masai, who called it Mara, which is Swahili for “spotted circles of trees,” “savanna,” “scrub,” and “cloud shadows of the area.” The current Mara Triangle’s 520 square kilometers were designated as the Masai Mara National Reserve in 1961 as a wildlife sanctuary.

5 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari, the “green city in the Sun,” is covered by the Kenya Wildlife Safari, which offers the best accommodations and wildlife viewing opportunities in one of the modern world’s seven wonders. Possibly Kenya’s oldest and most famous hotel, the Fairmont Norfolk is colonial in style yet brimming with contemporary quality, sophistication, and taste. One of our favorite tours to Kenya is this one. Governors Camp is a well-known Masai Mara Tented Camp that has accommodated numerous celebrities and wildlife photographers throughout the years. With possibly some of the greatest safari guides in Kenya, it boasts a central location near the majority of the Masai Mara’s prime game viewing spots.

Pick up in Nairobi in the morning and drive north to Aberdares National Park through lovely countryside. Immediately after your arrival, you’ll go on a game drive where you’ll see a variety of animals, including giraffes, zebras, elands, oryx, waterbucks, Grant’s and Thompson’s gazelles, elephants, buffalo, lions, cheetahs, jackals with silver backs, ostriches, hartebeest, baboons, and rhinos. A large number of bird species can be seen as well. After eating lunch at the camp, guests can unwind and freshen up before leaving for a tour to the reserve’s Chimps Orphanage in the afternoon. They then return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the lodge, you will go on a morning wildlife drive to Lake Nakuru National Park. You will have a brief stop in Nairobi for lunch. Lake Nakuru National Park is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including leopards, which are frequently seen snoozing on the branches of the magnificent yellow-barked acacias, lions, buffalos, hippos, waterbucks, warthogs, baboons, white rhino, and the rare black rhino. Arrive in the late afternoon for a game drive. In the evening, you will go on a game drive before returning to the lodge for dinner and stay.

After breakfast, your driver-guide will take you to the renowned Masai Mara National Reserve, which serves as the setting for the yearly migration of more than one million wildebeest, the world’s biggest wildlife extravaganza. You’ll get to your lodge in time for lunch, and in the late afternoon, you’ll go on a safari in Kenya’s most well-known reserve. Return to the lodge in time for supper and beverages around the campfire.

Today you will spend the entire day on game drives in the Masai Mara game reserve. You will try to track migration groups around the Mara River and will also come into contact with the Masai Mara culture. Drive back to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Following one final morning game drive, we make our way back to Nairobi, passing via Narok, the capital of Masai territory, and once more traversing the Rift Valley from west to east. When we finally return to Nairobi by climbing the eastern escarpment, we are instantly met with the commotion of the city. You will be dropped off at your accommodation or taken directly to the airport for your trip back home, bringing your 5 Days Kenya Wildlife Safari to a close.
