5 Days Malawi Safari

You will arrive at Chileka Airport and you will be met by a representative from Dav Safaris. After that, you’ll proceed to Majete Wildlife Reserve along the lovely escarpments, where you’ll have a fantastic perspective of Shire Valley. After arriving, you will eat lunch before departing for your first afternoon game drive of the safari. Later, you’ll return to the Lodge for dinner and your overnight stay.

Today you will get up early and depart for an exhilarating morning game drive or boat safari on Shire River, where you are likely to spot elephant, antelope, warthog, buffalo, a variety of bird species, crocodile, and hippo. After breakfast, you’ll leave for Mulanje Mountain while traveling through the Thyolo and Mulanje evergreen tea estates. You can trek the hills in Mulanje to reach the stunning natural pool and Falls of Dziwe la Nkhalamba. Later that evening, you’ll have dinner and spend the night at your designated Lodge.

After breakfast, you will leave Mulanje for the Mangochi District and the southern coastline of freshwater Lake Malawi. You must travel through Blantyre and Zomba City, Malawi’s former capital city, to get to Mangochi. After arriving to the lake, you will have the opportunity to spend the day at leisure, with lunch and dinner supplied, before settling in for your overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will have a number of extra activities to pick from at Malawi’s largest freshwater lake. You can choose from a variety of extracurricular activities, such as swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, and trips to Bird Island. You will arrive in Lilongwe in the late afternoon, where you will have dinner and spend the overnight.

After breakfast, you’ll depart for your return trip back to Lilongwe International Airport to catch your flight home. Your expedition will come to an end at this point.
