This is one of the most popular trips in Malawi’s southern region. You will participate in a range of everyday activities on land, the river, and Lake Malawi. Starting at Chileka Airport, the excursion takes you to the Majete Wildlife Reserve for an unforgettable experience. Join us as we tour Africa! Majete Wildlife Reserve is a distinctive tourist and conservation attraction for all tourists. Majete is now one of the most well-known wildlife reserves in Malawi for safaris and recovery and restoration projects, as well as ongoing preservation of endangered species. Majete is located in Malawi’s south-western Lower Shire Valley, some 70 kilometers (one and a half hours) from Blantyre’s Chileka International Airport and three hours from Lake Malawi.
Majete is just 7,000 hectares in size and is located in the Great Rift Valley close to Blantyre. There are granite hills, river valleys, and beautiful forests, among other things. Black rhino, elephant, buffalo, eland, kudu, sable, suni, klipspringer, Lichtenstein’s hartebeest, and zebra are just a few of the numerous animals that may be found in this area. Customers at Majete have a wonderful opportunity to witness the effort and law enforcement that went into the park to fight poaching.
You will arrive at Chileka Airport and you will be met by a representative from Dav Safaris. After that, you’ll proceed to Majete Wildlife Reserve along the lovely escarpments, where you’ll have a fantastic perspective of Shire Valley.
