5 Days Tanzania Safari

Your 5 day Tanzania safari vacation begins with a pickup from your Arusha accommodation or Kilimanjaro International Airport. After that, you will receive a safari briefing before departing Arusha on a scenic two-hour journey north to Lake Manyara National Park. You will reach your lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation. Then embark on an afternoon game drive within the park. The lake serves as a sanctuary for flamingo clouds and other amazing water birds. For those who love to observe birds, this is a delight! A significant elephant population lives in the forested valleys and broad savannah plains, together with herds of buffalo, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, baboons, and other species of beautiful antelopes. The uncommon tree-climbing lions are the most notable predators in the park, however there are others. After your exciting game drive, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

You’ll start the day with an early breakfast. After breakfast, pack a lunch and start your lengthy but beautiful 5- to 6-hour trip to the north you pass by the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and lovely Masai communities. You will stop at Olduvai Gorge, one of the most important archaeological sites on the planet. You will reach in Serengeti in the late afternoon; upon your arrival you will go for a game drive to experience its prides of lions and birdlife. After the game drive return to the lodge for dinner and overnights stay.

This day will begin with a morning game drive and will be followed by an afternoon game drive because the animals are more active during the cooler hours of the day. You’ll return to your lodging in the afternoon to eat a delicious lunch, unwind, and even take a siesta. After lunch you will continue for an evening game drive to spot those animals you missed on the morning drive. In the late afternoon, you’ll return to the camp or lodge for dinner, and overnight.

After breakfast, take a morning game drive through the Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater. You’ll arrive at your lodge in time for lunch before descending 2000 feet to the crater level. On your afternoon game drive, you might have chance to see all five of the dominant African mammals—the “big five,” including the critically endangered black rhinos. After the game drive return to the lodge for dinner and overnights stay.

Get up early for another exhilarating game drive in Ngorongoro Crater. Ngorongoro Crater is home to around 30,000 animals year round, including rhinos, wildebeests, zebras, and lions. The crater is home to African elephants and buffalo, hippos and flamingos, laughing hyenas, painted wolves, leopards, jackals, cheetahs, and caracals. After a wildlife drive, proceed for a 4-5 hour drive back to Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport for drop-off to catch your flight back home.
