6-Day Kruger National Park & Walking Safari

When you arrive at Hoedspruit Airport, Your Dav Safaris guide will be waiting to take you to camp in the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve to begin your walking safari. The knowledgeable guides are happy to share their knowledge and skills with you on daily walking safaris, as well as night drives and other wildlife-viewing excursions. Later you will return to the lodge for dinner and a night stay.

You’ll leave at dawn with trained trail guides who have received intense specialized training in approaching risky game. Walking safaris last roughly 2-3 hours and begin with a detailed instruction of how to behave when seeing wildlife. Return to camp for a well-earned brunch, and then spend the rest of the day relaxing at the pool or around the lodge. You will embark on a game drive in the late afternoon, giving you the chance to sight large game and travel farther out. Take in a sundowner in the reserve before returning to camp for dinner and a fireside conversation.

After your morning game drive and brunch, a private car will be waiting to pick you up for the travel to Shindzela Tented Camp through the Klaserie and Timbavati Reserves. This lovely tented camp, where you will stay for two nights, takes great satisfaction in giving its visitors an unforgettable and authentic safari experience. Solar energy makes Shindzela environmentally friendly.

A morning walking safari that typically lasts between two and two and a half hours can be substituted for one of the wildlife drives. Due to the denser foliage and summer heat, walking safaris may be shorter during the summer. The rest of the day can be spent lounging by the waterhole or the pool before you leave on your late-afternoon game drive. Return to the camp for dinner.

On your final morning, you will be taken to the Hoedspruit Airport for your onward flight after breakfast.
