6 days Masai Mara and Northern Serengeti

You will be picked up from your Nairobi hotel or the airport upon arrival on the first day of the safari. After a quick safari orientation, your safari driver will take you south down the Great Rift Valley’s floor. You will make a halt at the viewpoint for an unforgettable view of the rift valley, and you can also shop for trinkets in Narok Town. After arriving at the park in the afternoon and having lunch at your lodge, set out on a game drive in search of numerous animals, including lions, elephants, gazelles, cheetahs, and African wild dogs, among others. After that, go to your lodge for dinner and to spend the night.

These two days will be spent touring Masai Mara National Reserve and following the huge migration herds. A wide variety of wildlife, including Masai giraffes, olive baboons, warthogs, bat-eared foxes, gray jackals, impala, and hartebeest, can be found in the Masai Mara national reserve. In the Masai Mara grasslands, you will also be able to witness sizable herds of wildebeests. During the annual wildebeest migration, which takes place in the Masai Mara national reserve in July and August, millions of grazers leave the Serengeti to the north in search of greener pastures before heading back in the opposite direction in October.

After an early breakfast, you will check out of your lodge and begin the three-hour drive to the Tanzanian border at Isebania with your packed lunch. Your Tanzanian driver guide will be waiting for you as you cross the border, and you will then go to the Serengeti National Park, where you will arrive in the afternoon. You will travel to your lodge where you will spend the night and have dinner.

Today, after breakfast, you will go with your packed lunch for a full-day game drive across the park. Serengeti is the most stunning national park in Tanzania, and on a game drive you can view enormous herds of buffalo, elephants, giraffes, grant’s gazelles, topis, and other antelopes. The big cats, such as lions, cheetahs, and leopards, will also be visible.

You will eat breakfast and then drive to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at the airport for your trip back home, depending on your flight schedule.
