Itinary in details

Set out from Cape Town and take a scenic coastal route to Hermanus, stopping at Betties Bay to explore an endangered African penguin colony. Spend the afternoon in Hermanus, which is well-known for its Southern Right Whale counts that are available from July to November. Drive to Cape Agulhas in the afternoon to visit the viewpoint and learn more about where the warm Indian and cold Atlantic Oceans meet. Cape Agulhas is the southernmost point of Africa. Many sailors find it to be a difficult point because they come to a stormy end where the choppy swell and shifting currents push ships onto the shallow waters of the Agulhas Bank.

Meal plan: Lunch and Breakfast

Leave for Oudtshoorn in the Little Karoo, also known as the Ostrich Capital of the World, to explore the largest population of ostriches on earth. Travel Route 62, the 850km-long wine route that is the longest in South Africa, and take a guided tour of Cango Caves to experience its underground splendor. Take pleasure in the 200-step descent down Jacob’s ladder to the Great Hall before continuing to King Solomon Mine. Sip some wine and relax after a stressful day.

After breakfast, travel to the captivating Outeniqua Mountain pass, also known as the Mountains of the Stars or Serra da Estrela in Portuguese. A canoe trip to the Touw River through an indigenous forest with a diverse bird population is one of the highlights of a trip to the Wilderness National Park. Travel along the Garden Route through the stunning Lake District after canoeing to Knysna town. Take a break for lunch in Knysna, then head to Knysna Heads viewpoint for lovely views of the Indian Ocean and the Knysna River estuary. In the late afternoon, explore Sedgefield, which has beautiful views and beaches.

We will leave for Tsitsikamma National Park and stop at Bloukrans Bridge along the way to view the highest bungee jump in the world (216 meters). Feel free to partake in this fantastic adventure. Explore Tsitsikamma National Park in the afternoon, which features a beautiful Indian Ocean coastline and native forest. Take a stroll through the forest before crossing the suspension bridge at Storms River Mouth. Then, in the late afternoon, proceed to Addo.

Meal plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Breakfast

Take a 2- to 3-hour long game drive through Addo Elephant National Park in search of elephants, lions, buffalo, black rhinoceroses, zebras, warthogs, hartebeest, elands, and kudu, among other animals. Later on, head back to the Garden Route.

After breakfast, travel to Cape Town, stopping along the way at Mossel Bay to check out to the cool beaches, hike the Cape St. Blaize trail along the cliffs for some nice ocean views, and then visit the Diaz Museum complex to honor the first European exploration of Africa’s tip. Tandem skydiving from 10,000 feet is an option for adventure seekers! Sandboarding on the expansive dune in South Africa is an alternative.
