7-Days Botswana Big Cats Safari

When you arrive at Maun Airport, you will be greeted by a Dav Safari representative who will lead you to the domestic terminal and waiting lounge. You will then fly quickly to Camp Moremi from here. Camp Moremi, perched amid massive ebony trees in the Moremi Game Reserve’s Xakanaxa region, gives genuine meaning to the word safari. During game drives in open 4×4 vehicles, which are conducted in the early morning and late afternoon, lion, leopard, and cheetah sightings are common, as are wild dog sightings. Alternatively, visitors can use a motorboat to cruise around the nearby Okavango canals and Xakanaxa Lagoon.

After breakfast, you will be driven to the airport for your flight to Chobe National Park. The region is well-known for its bull elephant population and for the unusual interactions with the local predator species. The nearby wildlife is reflected in the recently renovated, contemporary African design. The majority of the activities revolve around game drives in open 4×4 safari vehicles across the Savute area. Savute claims to host a spectacularly large summer zebra migration, which typically takes place between November and December and again between February and April when the zebras migrate from the rivers in the north in search of the lush grasslands and full waterholes in the southeast of the park. The timing of this migration is determined by the rains.

Following breakfast, you will be driven to the airport to catch your departure to Maun, capping off your Big Cats Safari experience.
