9-Day Zambia Safari

Description

With this private fly-in safari, you will visit South Luangwa and Lower Zambezi National Parks, two of Zambia’s most popular safari locations. Take advantage of exceptional Big Five sightings, knowledgeable, experienced safari guides, fly-in transfers, plush lodgings at a great value, and a range of safari activities. Every destination and lodging adheres to global health safety standards. Lower Zambezi National Park encompasses 4092 square kilometers and is the newest Zambia National Zambezi escarpment. Massive herds of elephant, buffalo, and zebra are frequently encountered during game drives (as well as canoe safaris) within the park due to the massive densities of species that like to keep close to the river. Additionally, the riverfront makes for excellent leopard habitat, and it’s not unusual to spot one of these rare predators relaxing in a tree next to the water.

Itinary in details

When you arrive at Livingstone Airport, our representative will greet you and take you to your lodge. Following check-in, you’ll tour the Victoria Falls and partake in some of the nearby safari and adventure activities. The Victoria Falls is one of the World’s Seven Wonders and the world’s greatest sheet of flowing water—a fascinating and hypnotic spectacle. The sheer amount of water rushing down the 100-meter drop over almost two kilometers produces a deafening roar and a spectacular water spray that can be seen for miles, giving rise to the native moniker “mosi oa tunya,” which means “the smoke that thunders.” You will also go for sunset cruise on Victoria Falls.

On this day, you will fly to Lower Zambezi through Lusaka. The Lower Zambezi National Park is still mostly undeveloped, yet its attractiveness rests in its complete wilderness status. The animal species is not as diverse as in other large parks, but still gives an opportunity to get close to game. Due to the park’s proximity to Zimbabwe’s renowned Mana Pools Reserve, the entire area on both sides of the river is a vast wildlife sanctuary. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

You will fly from Lusaka to Mfuwe, where your Dav safaris driver will greet you. While in South Luangwa National Park you will encounter with numerous wildlife species lions, leopard, buffaloes to mention but a few. Later in the evening you will return to the hotel for dinner and overnight stay.

This day, after a leisurely breakfast, you’ll get up and head to the airport for your journey to Lusaka, where you’ll connect with your next aircraft home, bringing your safari to a close.
