1-Day Chobe National Park Tour

Description

If you want to see the best of Chobe but can’t stay overnight in Botswana, our Chobe Full Day Trip is a must! Enjoy an exciting day in the famed Chobe National Park by participating in two activities, exploring the park on both land and water, getting the best of both worlds. Although the park covers approximately 12,000 km2 and contains a staggering variety of ecosystems and landforms, including floodplains, marshlands, and forests, almost all visits center on the Chobe River. This is the principal tributary of the powerful Zambezi, calmly meandering across the northeast of the park. Boat rides along this tributary are, quite simply, magical, especially after dusk when elephants, buffalos, and other animals congregate there to drink and wash.

Begin your day with a pick-up from your Livingstone accommodation at 0700am. Transfer to Botswana from Zambia over the well-known Kazugula Bridge. Meet the driver of Dav safaris at Health Port, then proceed to our office for registration and a quick breakfast snack in Coffee Buzz. Take a boat ride down the lovely Chobe River in Chobe National Park to begin your trip. You’ll get the chance to witness a variety of birds, crocodiles, hippos, and enormous herbivores moving toward the river’s edge. After a delectable lunch at Coffee Buzz, take one of our specially modified open 4×4 cars on a game drive back through Chobe National Park in the late afternoon.

Typically, drives take place near the waterfront, where wildlife gathers to quench their thirst. Elephant, buffalo, and lion are frequently seen, and eland, sable, and roan antelope are occasionally seen as well. Although more elusive, you might get lucky with a leopard! Then make your way back to your building in Livingstone.
