15 Days Tanzania, Kenya and Uganda Safari

Depending on where you are in Arusha, your safari driver will meet you there and take you to Tarangire National Park, where your Tanzanian wildlife viewing experiences will begin. Connect to the park for game viewing once you have reached the area. During your game drive, you’ll see a variety of wildlife species grazing and roaming the national park, including lions, giraffes, antelopes, leopards, buffalos, wildebeests, elands, elephants, cheetahs, impalas, and a variety of bird species, particularly in the Tarangire region. Your guide will drive you to your lodge where you can check in, unwind, eat dinner, and spend the night as you take in the sunset and the scenery around you.

Connect to Ngorongoro crater with your lunch already packed after breakfast and drive 600 meters down into the crater in the morning. It is well-known as one of the largest volcanic calderas in the world, and it is home to over 1 million animals, including all five of the big five and the endangered black rhino. There are also other animals like lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and zebras. After your lunch break and the game drive, take a drive through the park with Ngorongoro Conservation to increase your chances of seeing more wildlife. Visit the fascinating stop at Olduvia Gorge, one of the historical locations in the world where Dr. Leaky discovered the remains of early man. While there, you can learn a lot about our ancestral way of life in the Ngorongoro conservation area by visiting the museum there. When you get to Serengeti National Park, connect to the lodge you reserved for dinner and the night.

Have an early breakfast, get parked, and go for a full day game drive. We start from far north around the Mara River in case you came in the opposite month when the migration will start from Serengeti after missing it from the Mara Kenya side. Spend the entire day searching for these creatures, which include hippos, elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, lions, hyenas, cheetahs, antelopes, hartebeest, and zebras, to name a few. Go back to the inn to eat and stay the night.

You will eat breakfast and go on a second morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park’s savannah plains to see various wildlife species that are very active in the morning and can be easily spotted while you also take in the sunrise. After your morning game drive, lunch will be served at your lodge. You’ll go on another game drive later in the evening to see wildlife, including the “big five”: lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinoceroses, and elephants. Along with these, you’ll see a variety of other animals and bird species, such as wildebeest, waterbucks, antelopes, zebras, kudus, hippos, and buffalo. Following your evening game drive, you’ll head back to your lodge for supper and overnight.

After an early breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and drive to the border with Isebania, where you will cross into Kenya, to begin your journey to the Masai Mara national reserve in that country. After clearing customs at the border, you will meet your Kenyan driver guide and travel to Masai Mara, where you will enter the park. Through the Olololo gate in Mara West, access the Masai Mara Park; then, make your way to your lodge for check-in, relaxation, dinner, and overnight accommodation.

Get up early, eat breakfast, pack a lunch, and then meet your safari driver to travel to the plains of Maasai Mara for a full day of adventure. Here, you can see a variety of animals in great numbers, including lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, wildebeests, zebras, and more. As the sun sets, you will enjoy your picnic lunch and continue your game drive. You will return to your lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

As of today after breakfast, you will travel to the Masai Mara reserve’s plains for your final morning game drive, during which you will see more animals. You will then return to your lodge for lunch, and in the late afternoon, you will travel to the Masai village or Masai Loita Hills for a cultural experience. You can learn more about the Masai culture on this experience by interacting with the local Masai people, enjoying local dancers, drama, and Masai warriors, purchasing locally made goods like Masai Shukas, exquisitely crafted accessories like necklaces and earrings, and sampling regional cuisines. Following the experience, you will return to your lodge, eat dinner, and spend the night there.

Eat breakfast, leave the hotel, and then connect for a flight to Entebbe airport. The flight leaves Masai Mara at 8:45 am and arrives in Entebbe at 11:45 am. When you arrive at Entebbe airport, a representative of our company will be there to meet you and drive you to the 37 km to Kampala city. You’ll be driven to your hotel so you can check in. Dinner will be served in the evening, and you can spend a relaxing night at your lodge.

Following breakfast at your hotel, depart for the transfer to Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda, stopping along the way for lunch or stretches depending on your location and timing. Connect to your lodge while en route to the nearby crater lakes. The Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary should be explored. The reserve is home to numerous butterflies, plants, and animals, including birds and primates. The rare Papyrus Gonolek and Great Blue Turaco, as well as other spectacular birds, will be of great interest to birders. The swamp is also home to more elusive creatures like Sitatunga antelope and Red Colobus monkeys. Visits to community initiatives in the area that have been funded by tourism are also possible. Dinner and overnight stay at your hotel.

Drive to the headquarters of Kibale Park for a briefing on the chimpanzees after breakfast. Enter the forest and begin your search for chimpanzees in their natural habitat. It will take anywhere between 1 and 8 hours to find them, depending on where they are, and once you do, you have one hour to observe them as they swing from branches in the canopy above the forest floor. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park after lunch to shorten the distance of the following day. From Kibale National Park to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the drive takes three hours.

Get up very early, eat breakfast, and then head out on a game drive in the early morning where you might see buffalo, elephants, waterbucks, Uganda Kobs, and other antelope species. Afterward, return for lunch. Go on a three-hour launch cruise along the Kazinga in the afternoon. This cruise will allow you to pass through an area with the highest concentration of hippos, and you might also see many animals drinking at the water’s edge. A good platform for games, bird watching, and photography is provided by the cruise. Supper and a night’s stay

After breakfast, meet your driver and head to Bwindi. For a chance to see the tree-climbing lions you will travel through the Ishasha area. After having lunch en route, continue to Bwindi. Connect to your lodge in the Buhoma or Ruhija region of the Bwindi forest.

After breakfast, be driven to the park’s offices where a local guide will brief you on mountain gorilla trekking. The duration varies from 2 to 8 hours depending on the gorillas’ movement. Unexpectedly encountering gorillas is one of the most captivating lifetime experiences. You will have the opportunity to observe and take pictures up close. Adults will be seen eating and moaning to one another. Your guide and rangers will lead you back to the beginning after an hour with the eagerly awaited gorillas, where your driver will be waiting to take you back to the lodge. You can take an optional community tour after your trekking activity, depending on when you get back. Have dinner and stay the night.

Get up very early, have breakfast, and drive for about two hours to Lake Bunyonyi. Once there, take a canoe tour of the lake. After a long day of hiking, you can unwind here. With about 29 islands, including the Penalty Island, Bushara, Bwama, and Njuyeera Islands, to name a few, Lake Bunyonyi is the second-deepest lake in Africa. In contrast to other lakes, Lake Bunyonyi is free of bilharzia, hippopotami, and crocodiles, and its crystal-clear waters are ideal for swimming. The lake is surrounded by steep terraced hillsides. You can choose to relax at the lodge after lunch, go ziplining for a single fee, or engage in any other exciting activity of your choice. Retire to the lodge, where you can unwind while admiring the lake and hills.

Check out of the hotel after breakfast to start your trip to Entebbe or Kampala. It takes 8 to 9 hours to drive there, stopping along the way for lunch and at the Ugandan Equator. Continue to Kampala/Entebbe, where you will be dropped off at a hotel you recommend or at the airport in preparation for your next flight home.
